Direct Sound 3D Driver (for all Dream
based Sound Track cards)
Direct Sound 3D, accelerating H/W, makes a clear
difference with S/W driver.
The informal test result shows that the usage of
CPU is under 10% in game playing.
You can find very noticeable performance with
this driver.
1. When changing the firmware to 4CH MIDI/
Pro3D(Dolby), there were some problems such as loading previous bank also. But this driver
changes only firmware, so you don't even notice 4CH MIDI is running.
2. The Dream chip operates only digitally when
the Input volume (left and right) is set to zero. After setting the left and right
to zero at My Mixer, if you test the S/N ratio with cool editor, you can't find any
noise.
3. On account of string transmission , most
soundcards over occupy the DMA and IRQ. That causes some errors, but this driver for
ST128DDMA collects the data at a time, and transfers to the RAM then calculates the value
of coordinates. To realize this, we changed the MOD part to DirectX in Dream driver.
Final Beta has a readme file, but it is Korean version.
So you'll have to refer to the following description.

3. Turn off the PC, then turn on the PC one minute later.
We've found the following bugs up till now:
-Age of Empires ; After playing more than 10 minutes, it
gets noisy.
- Starwars Shadow.; .. .. .. ..
- Motorhead ; Sometimes, when the game is finished, WAV was down.
- Unreal
- Most games are running with no problem!
